Wix Chatbot Not Showing? Check These Five Things

If a chatbot is configured but missing from a Wix site, first identify whether the problem is the selected site, the saved Farnsla setting, publishing, the browser, or a page-level conflict.

Work through these checks in order and keep a note of what you observe. That evidence makes any support request much faster to investigate.

1. Confirm Farnsla is connected to the correct Wix site

If your Wix account manages multiple sites, verify that you are viewing the same site where Farnsla was installed and configured.

Record the live site URL and the site name shown in Wix. A correct installation on one site will not make the chatbot appear on a different site.

2. Check that storefront chat is enabled and saved

Open the Farnsla dashboard for that Wix site and confirm the customer-facing chat setting is enabled. Save any change and wait for the dashboard to confirm it.

If you switch modes or update chatbot settings, finish the save flow before testing the site again.

3. Test the published site, not only the editor or preview

Publish the current Wix site, then open its public URL directly. Preview and editor contexts can behave differently from the live visitor experience.

Check both the homepage and the specific page where the widget appears to be missing.

4. Rule out a browser or layout issue

Open the live URL in a private window with extensions disabled, then test a second browser and a mobile viewport. Clear cached site data if an older version persists.

Look for cookie-consent tools, overlapping buttons, custom code, or a high stacking layer that could load the widget but cover it visually.

5. Collect specific evidence before asking for help

Provide the public URL, affected pages, approximate time, browser and device, screenshot, and the checks already completed. Say whether the widget is missing everywhere or only on one page.

Do not share passwords, verification codes, or private customer data in a troubleshooting request.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the chatbot appear in one Wix site but not another?

Farnsla is connected and configured per site. Confirm that the installation, dashboard, and public URL all refer to the same Wix site.

Should I test in Wix preview mode?

Use the published public URL as the decisive test. Preview and editor contexts may not match what a visitor receives on the live site.

What should I send to support?

Send the public URL, affected page, time, browser and device, screenshot, and a concise list of the checks you completed. Never send passwords or private customer data.

5. Collect specific evidence before asking for help

If a chatbot is configured but missing from a Wix site, first identify whether the problem is the selected site, the saved Farnsla setting, publishing, the browser, or a page-level conflict.
