Wix FAQ
This page only covers the current Farnsla Wix flow. The answers below are based on this app's existing Wix setup, storefront widget, billing, and embedded dashboard behavior. Back to the main FAQ
Setup & Widget
What Farnsla's Wix setup currently asks merchants to do
Install Farnsla from the Wix App Market. When Wix opens the embedded app, Farnsla uses the Wix instance context to connect the app to the correct Wix site.
Open Get Setup inside the Wix app and use the Storefront chat toggle. Farnsla checks the Wix embedded script status and enables or disables the storefront widget for the connected site.
- Open Get Setup and confirm the Storefront chat toggle is enabled.
- Check the widget status message shown in Get Setup or on the dashboard.
- Make sure you are looking at the same Wix site where the app is installed.
- Refresh the storefront and send a test message after enabling the widget.
In the Wix embedded app, open Get Setup and update the instructions field. Farnsla stores those instructions for your company and uses them for tone, FAQ answers, policies, and product guidance.
Farnsla registers Wix lifecycle and product webhooks where available, and the app has product indexing paths for Wix product create, update, and delete events. This helps keep product recommendations aligned with the connected Wix store.
Embedded App
How the embedded Wix pages currently behave
Farnsla's Wix pages need the Wix instance context so actions are tied to the right site. If the
app is opened without that context, the current Wix app entry cannot reliably identify the site.
On first install, if Farnsla sees an active Wix site but no selected plan yet, the app redirects to Wix pricing. After you choose Free or complete Wix checkout for a paid plan, the app opens the dashboard.
The current Wix sidebar includes Get Setup, Overview, Analytics, Chat History, Notifications, Billing, and Feedback & Help.
The current Wix entry flow treats reinstall differently from first-time installs. When an existing site record is recognized, Farnsla can return you to the dashboard instead of forcing a new pricing selection.
Billing & Help
What merchants can expect from Wix plans, checkout, and support
Farnsla provisions the Wix site on the Free plan, registers Wix webhooks where available, and redirects you back into the Wix app dashboard for setup.
Farnsla creates a Wix checkout for the selected plan and sends you to Wix to complete it. After checkout, Wix returns to Farnsla's billing confirm route, which syncs plan state and redirects back to the Wix app.
For lower-priced Wix plan changes, the current app tells you to cancel the current subscription first in Wix. The current plan stays active until the end of the billing period, then you can purchase the lower plan.
If Wix reports that a selected plan has cancelled renewal, Farnsla blocks a new checkout and asks you to visit Wix subscriptions to turn auto renew on.
Use the Wix app's Overview and Billing pages. They show plan state, usage, remaining credits, billing period details, and links to change plans when available.
Use Feedback & Help inside Farnsla's Wix app, or reach out through the contact page.
This page uses Farnsla's current Wix code paths for app entry, setup, storefront widget toggling, product webhooks, billing checkout, billing confirmation, dashboard pages, and support.
